Bobby was a playmate since Kindergarten. I lived just 2 doors down the street from him on Alveo until the end of 5th Grade, when we moved to Hayman when Dad received an inheritance check from an aunt he'd never met, and we could afford a newer, bigger house. Before that, Bobby and I had played and hung out often, especially on weekends. We were teammates once in Little League. He wore his cap like no one else on the team--with a severe peak in the bill. I got to know the rest of his family, too. They sometimes had a rough time with his dad, though, which made it tough on Bobby, his younger brother, David, and sister (whose name I can't remember), and his mom. Unfortunately, Bobby and I drifted apart when we developed other friendships during junior high, and lost touch completely after high school. Nevertheless, I have thought about him often since then, and will always cherish my memories of our times together. Rest in Peace, Bobby. You deserve it.
