Richard DeGrey, who was born and died recently in La Cañada from Alzheimers. From kindergarten at Oak Grove thru LCHS, Rich was a great student, musician and stellar athlete. Rich was in Band, Marching Band, Orchestra playing trombone, Varsity football, all CIF, varsity baseball and in Jr. High, a member of the "Sharp Flats" Dixiebland Band. Rich graduated from Occidental College and was immedialtly drafted and served in Viet Nam. This is where Rich met the love of his life, Lin. Neither spoke eachothers lanuage and they made it work. After his Army discharge he returned to Viet Nam to bring her back to the states, they married and had 2 children who went thru the LCHS school district. Rich was very active in both of his kids sports. Rich's career was at Union Bank as VP of commercial banking. A lifelng athlete, hiker and fulfilled a Bucket List of sky diving in in his mid 60's. in his mid-sixties. Rich is survived by his beloved wife Lin, son Michael, daughter Jennifer and  2 grandchildred. RIP.

We are sad to annouce the recent passing in November of Bob Walker,  passed in November 2025. Bob atttende Oak Grove, Bob, was an Army veteran  serving our Country in Viet Nam. Upon return, he started working at Lockheed Martin. His career took off and he had a high clearance job working with airplanes. He leaves his loving wife Meva, chhildren" Jeremy, Tamara and Justin. Upon retirement Bob and family settled in Kingman, AZ. RIP.
